I was pondering something and I can't really get a firm answer.

When you play a game you are making the choices in the game. And in a game like Prototype you are supposed to murder people. Now I know it is fiction, but can the choices you make in game reflect what you would do in real life if there were no consequences?

If there was no fear of hell, No fear of retribution, No fear of law, no fear of consequences would you still commit these crimes?

All forms of information be the real or fake have a simulating effect on you, however I don't think evil things shown or done in a game are exactly bad. Sure some things are just mindless slaughter, but if your make a great game that really digs deep into some things that usually are not mentioned. That is a experience. Of a personal example, Saya no Uta... and that game is about cannabalism. I don't recommend it unless you can stand sex scenes and some serious f'd up stuff, but its a AMAZING game (to me, though since i say this you'll doubt my sanity xD). I think these guys about sum it up right [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Me personally, some weird songs by MSI and stuff like that really cheer me up (but I'm a odd person), but I still think you should guard yourself in what you feed your ears and your eyes. However, not to the point that you become so paranoid you can't enjoy something fun even if it isn't exactly "educational" xD

As far as whether I do what I did in games in real life, nah probably not even if there aren't rules. I have goals I want to do so getting side tracked and/or pissing someone off would really just be a pain =.= (Though I might have decked a few more people in my life ... or maybe not -shrugs-)
